Adam Hill performs both acoustic and electric bass in a variety of genres.
He has graced the stages of the Great American Music Hall (CA), the River City Bluegrass Festival (OR), the Stan Rogers Folk Festival (NS), Summerfolk (ON), the San Luis Obispo Mozart Festival (CA), the Sisters Jazz Festival (OR), Northwest Folklife (WA), the Harrison Festival of the Arts (BC), the Yellowstone Music Festival (MT), the Electronic Music Midwest Festival (KS), and the South by Southwest Music Festival (TX), among others.
He has been a member of Atlantic String Machine, Taarka, Rogue Motel, Great Lonely Wild, Marmota, and The Sham; and, he has played in the Prince Edward Island Symphony Orchestra, the Central Oregon Symphony, the Walla Walla Symphony, and the Obsidian Opera Chamber Orchestra.
Additionally, he has accompanied many talented musicians, including Rose Cousins, Joe Craven, Catherine MacLellan, Kaia Kater, Jim Bryson, Lennie Gallant, Andy Hillhouse, Kate MacKenzie, Andy Armer, Jay Thomas, Bill Dobbins, Rachel Beck, Hod O’Brien, Dick Hyman, and John Fedchock. He has also appeared on recordings by Kagami, Beolach, Dave Gunning, Irish Mythen, The Crosswalks, Future Historians, Yoyodyne, and Super XX Man.
